Hello Blogging My Old Friend
Hello blogging, my old friend,
I’ve come to talk with you again,
Because Wordpress softly creeping,
Left its seeds while I was sleeping,
And the version that was planted in my brain
2.5 remains
Within the sound of silence.
6:60PM BloggingThat is down.
In restless dreams I walked alone
Database of cobblestone,
neath the halo of a street lamp,
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of
A neon light
That backup right
And touched the sound of silence.
7:23 in desperation, called brother
And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, tech support.
People blogging without speaking,
People hearing without listening,
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence.
7:31 called Godaddy
Fools said I, you do not know
Blogging like a cancer grows.
Hear my words that I might teach you,
Take my arms that I might reach you.
But my words like silent raindrops fell,
And echoed
In the wells of silence
7:45 realized I shot self in foot
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon God they made.
And the sign flashed out its warning,
In that BloggingThat was forming.
And the signs said, the words of the prophets
Are written on the subway walls
And tenement halls.
And whispered in the sounds of silence.
8:30 BloggingThat is back minus a few posts
Sweet Home In Nashville
Twang… I finally hit my target audience. Well, I took your advise. It’s off to Nashville to write songs. Watch out Cletus T; I have set up camp. I live in the orange one. [Banjo plays Deliverance in the background] The only problems are when I play my Wii and the gall darn bathtub leak from the house above me. G, G, Ga getter done.

Relational Databaser (spoof)
This post is very close to my heart and, as such, may be misunderstood. If you have a country music background, you might get it. Please begin by preparing the following link.

I’m the son of a 3rd generation squatter
I’ve been sittin’ right next to the company’s plotter
I’m a God fearin’ hard workin’ keyboard driver
Hoggin’ up the road on my m-m-m-mouser
Chug a lug a luggin’ 5 words an hour
On my Relational Databaser
Three miles of cars layin’ on their horns
Iphone shines like ears of corn
Lined up behind me like a big parade
Little Jerry and road raged jerks
Shoutin’ obscene words flippin’ me the bird (no pun intended)
Well you may be on a boot that’s cold
But that backup runs through my payload
Excuse me for tryin’ to do my job
But this year ain’t been no Microsoft
If you don’t like the way I’m a drivin’
Get back on the internet
Otherwise sit tight and be nice
And quit yer honkin’ at me that way
Chorus:
Cause I’m a son of a 3rd generation squatter
I’ve been sittin’ right next to the company’s plotter
I got 2 boys in the county 4-H
My sweet Daughter wants tacos today
Hay! That’s what I make
I make a lotta hay I’m a DBA
But I’m proud to say
I’m a God fearin’ hard workin’ keyboard driver
Hoggin’ up the road on my a m-m-m-mouser
Chug a lug a lugin’ 5 words an hour
On my Relational Databaser
Well I know you got your own deadlines
But cussin’ me ain’t savin’ no time hoss
This high-bandwidth wide load ain’t goin’ any faster
So just smile and wave and tip your hat
To the DBA up on the tractor
Cause I’m a son of a 3rd generation squatter
I’ve been sittin’ right next to the company’s plotter
I got two boys in the county 4-H
My sweet Daughter wants tacos today
Hay! That’s what I make
I make a lot of hay I’m a DBA
But I’m proud to say
I’m a God fearin’ hard workin’ keyboard driver
Hoggin’ up the road on my m-m-m-mouser
Chug a lug a lugin’ 5 words an hour

Equalize Your MP3 Player
Do you wish you didn’t have to adjust the volume on your MP3 player each time a different song comes on? MP3Gain is an open source software that can help. MP3Gain does not just do peak normalization, as many normalizers do. Instead, it does some statistical analysis to determine how loud the file actually sounds to the human ear.
Also, the changes MP3Gain makes are completely lossless. There is no quality lost in the change because the program adjusts the mp3 file directly, without decoding and re-encoding.
There are two ways to analyze, track gain and album gain. If you have a mix of songs, track gain will adjust the levels equally. If you chose album gain, you keep the intergrity of the album and the quiet songs stay quiet while the loud songs stay loud.
Here is the download if you want to get right to it.

Music: A Better Way Than P2P
I was looking at YouTube the other day and came across a neat way to better use Google’s search functions to find music for free download.
I like the single .mp3’s but what I really want is the entire album, for free. Best of all, the download is not through a P2P and limited in bandwidth. One could download sixty albums in one day, not waiting for connections or users who have the file to be online. Simply type this in to your search… intitle:”index.of” (mp3|mp4|avi) name.of.album -htm -html -php -asp -cf -jsp Replace name.of.album with your target. What you are doing is searching for peoples’ site index, but only music. Now, you will get some commercial sites that you should ignore. What you want to see is this…
Index of /Music/Green Day/Kerplunk
Name Last modified Size Description
Below will be the songs that make up the Green Day Kerplunk album. Right click them and “save as”. Don’t forget to adjust your path to Index of /Music to see what other musical jems they may have in their directories. I love google.
